Clients on So You Think You Can Dance
Katrina and I have just returned from our weekend trip of the chance to support two of our close friends and clients, Ben Veitch and Jesse Rasmussen perform in the top 20.
Ben Veitch has successfully made it through to the Top 16, avoiding being the bottom 3 two weeks in a row. Both of his performances have been stunning. One of which was choreographed by last years Top 20 contestant Marko Panzic. Katrina and I look forward to constantly supporting Ben throughout his SYTYCD journey. His latest was a highly passionate and moving Rumba routine choreographed by last years Top 50 contestant Brendon Humphreys.
Unfortunately Australia has missed out on seeing one of its best Hip Hop and Tap dancers in Australia with the elimination of Jesse Rasmussen after the first week of SYTYCD Top 20. Paired up with female Hip Hop dancer Max, also from Sydney, the two gave it their very best in their contemporary piece. Jesse performed a very smooth routine to Justin Timberlake’s ‘Damn Girl’, for his solo routine, but unfortunately was selected by the judges to leave the competition. Renowned throughout Australia as one of its best Hip Hop dancers in the industry with a lifelong career in dance, Jesse is sure to move onto bigger and brighter projects. Currently he has developed a reputable Workshop tour company with SYTYCD choreographer Trav Ross called Fly Fresh Entertainment. A workshop company that tours throughout Australia importing guest choreographers direct from the US, such as dancer/choreographer Swoop. Jesse is also in the process of developing Hip Hop classes in Sydney with his brother Joel Rasmussen called JTown Hip Hop.
